Want to become the go-to expert?

Hi Reader

Last week someone told me they feel behind on LinkedIn, like they've missed the window. And I told them the same thing I tell anyone who says that (or that it's too crowded or that everyone's already doing it better...):

There are 1.3 billion people registered on LinkedIn. And of all those people, only 1.8% post original content at least once a week.

1.8%!

Let that sink in. If you're posting even one to three times a week, you're already in the 1%. You're in the tiny sliver of people actually showing up while everyone else is reading quietly from the sidelines.

Now do the math on your own industry.

Think about how many people in your field are on LinkedIn. Could be millions, could be tens of thousands. Then cut that down to the 1% actually posting. You're suddenly looking at a handful of people. AND then of that handful, even fewer are doing it well.

Most of what's out there is pitch slaps in the DMs, bait-and-switch connection requests, and people trying to extract your pain points before they've even said hello. That's not competition.

Which means the lane to become the go-to person in your industry is wide open.

I know it feels crowded. I know it feels like you're late. But LinkedIn right now is where Facebook was in 2014. The opportunity is genuinely enormous, and it has never been a bluer ocean, precisely because most people are doing it wrong.

When you do it right, you can land in front of the exact CEO, the exact company, the exact person you've been trying to reach. It’s not a long shot. It’s strategy plus consistency.

Sure, it would’ve been easier to start years ago, back when it was easy to grow an audience and every post went viral practically. But I’d say LinkedIn has never had such opportunity to build real relationships as it does today.

This is just a little motivation because I think we forget how often the "behind" feeling is a story and not a fact. Especially as business owners wearing every hat, trying to be good partners and parents and humans at the same time.

LinkedIn doesn't have to be a giant undertaking. Small, consistent progress gets you where you're going.

By for now!
Natasha

(here's how) Hi Reader, I went into my vacation last week fully expecting a small 5th cohort in my program. And I was totally okay with it. I’ve been going hard with all these cohorts, a launch every other month. But I’d booked a week-long vacation with my family, the first time taking off more than a day ever! I wanted to actually be present with my family, sit on the beach, and not spend the whole trip stressing about filling spots. A smaller group felt like a fair trade for a real...

(how to not do the same) Hi Reader, I've been so traumatized by being pressure-sold that I forgot to sell when people actually wanted me to. Last week I hosted my first ever open office hours. I opened it up to y’all - it was awesome. New faces, familiar faces, and even a handful of current clients! Really good questions the whole way through. It was everything I hoped it would be. And then, with about a minute left on the clock, someone asked, "So….can you tell us how it works to work with...

Hi Reader, My next cohort kicks off June 23rd, and there’s one spot left! Instead of ME telling you why you should take it, I’ll let three women who’ve been through it do the talking: 1. AMELIE → Her very first post in the program landed her a client. That fast. → Made her entire investment back in the first two months. → Went from fearing LinkedIn to actually being excited to show up. In her words: “Not only did I get my money back from clients, but I’ve now learned a skill that’s going to...
