You're going to want to hear this

Hey Reader,

I was recently a guest on The Business Owner’s Journey podcast with Nick Berry.

And I’m still pinching myself a little because this isn’t just any podcast.

Nick has interviewed Jason Feifer (Editor-in-Chief of Entrepreneur Magazine), Dr. Benjamin Hardy (10x Is Easier Than 2x), and other heavy hitters in the business world.

His show is all about shortening the learning curve for business owners - getting experienced entrepreneurs to pull back the curtain and share real lessons.

This was his first episode focused specifically on how LinkedIn works for entrepreneurs.

And I got to be that voice. Cool stuff! 😎

If you’ve ever felt like:

- LinkedIn should be easier than it is
- You’re burnt out from trying Instagram/Meta without results
- You don’t want to become a “content creator”
- There has to be a better way to do this

This episode is for you.

it's called “Why LinkedIn strategy feels harder than it should for business owners.”

And Nick and I broke down exactly why most people overthink LinkedIn and end up acting weird on there. (Yes, that’s the professional diagnosis.)

The two biggest takeaways:

1. You’re probably playing the wrong game

Most LinkedIn advice comes from content creators whose entire business IS creating content.

They’ll tell you to comment two hours a day. Post 5x a week. Engage for hours.

But you’re not a content creator.

You’re a business owner leveraging content to grow your business.

There’s a massive difference.

When you try to follow their playbook, of course you burn out. Of course it feels like a burden.

We talked about how to simplify LinkedIn so it’s actually a by-product of your work, not an additional task.

Here’s what happens when you start playing a different game on LinkedIn. This client who just started posting last week and already got 3 inbounds. We're playing the long game, but that doesn't mean opportunities take long to come in!

2. Everyone’s acting weird on LinkedIn (and here’s why)

People who are total extroverts in real life freeze when it comes to posting online.

Sales pros who can work a room turn into pitch-slapping robots in DMs.

Why?

Because they’re looking at LinkedIn incorrectly.

They forget there’s a human on the other side of the screen.

We broke down exactly how to reframe LinkedIn so you show up authentically - the same way you’d network at a coffee shop or industry event.

No scripts or tactics. Just actual relationship-building.

Nick and I had an honest conversation about the messy reality of building a business, showing up online, and doing it all without losing yourself in the process.

I also shared some stuff I don’t usually talk about publicly - like starting 2025 in a mountain of debt with from having to pause my business, hospital bills, a move, and a newborn in the NICU.

(We made it out but it was a brutal start.)

Listen to the full episode here.

Perfect for a workout, commute, or while you’re pretending to work.

Until next time,
Natasha

P.S. I've got 2x 1:1 spots left for the March, and 1x team. If you are interested or know any teams that would benefit from showing up strategically on LinkedIn to crush Q2..let's talk!

Hey Reader! I'm writing this on Saturday while my son takes his 2.5 hour nap. This is my creative/me-time when I'm not distracted by client calls, LinkedIn, or all the other 100 things it takes to run a business. And it got me thinking about something I hear all the time: "I'll focus on LinkedIn when I have more bandwidth." What I've recently learned as a business owner, breadwinner, mom, and wife: Things don't slow down. Busy is just life now (not in a bad way, I love my life). But I don't...

Hi Reader, That's what a client asked me when we were wrapping up our engagement. She wasn't being sarcastic, she was genuinely stunned. She came in thinking I was just a LinkedIn coach.A lot of people do. And I get it. "LinkedIn coach" sounds like someone who tells you to post more and get more engagement. That's not what this is. What you actually get inside my program: → A fully optimized profile with custom branding and messaging (not a template, yours, done with you)→ Podcast-style...

Hi Reader, I'm not ready yet.... but I'll keep you in mind. You know that line, right? The polite brush-off that sounds promising but usually means nothing. My client Scott heard it at a biotech event about a year ago. The guy seemed interested, it was a good conversation. But: "We're not looking for anything right now." Most people would've followed up once or twice, then moved on.Scott did something different. And six months later, that same person sent him a LinkedIn DM: "Hey, we're ready to...
