Hi Reader,
I'm not ready yet.... but I'll keep you in mind.
You know that line, right? The polite brush-off that sounds promising but usually means nothing.
My client Scott heard it at a biotech event about a year ago. The guy seemed interested, it was a good conversation. But: "We're not looking for anything right now."
Most people would've followed up once or twice, then moved on. Scott did something different. And six months later, that same person sent him a LinkedIn DM: "Hey, we're ready to get started on our compliance strategy on AWS.
That message turned into a contract. That contract turned into two more. In total? 3+ year deals worth over $400K.
"That was a direct result of working with Natasha."
A few weeks after closing that deal, Scott got another message.
From someone he'd known for years. This friend had never liked a single post, commented, or engaged at all.
But when someone at his network needed help with nanopore sequencing on AWS, he said: "Scott's the guy." Scott laughed when he told me: "I had no idea he even knew what I did for work. But he knew I did AWS and life sciences." So what did Scott actually do?
He didn't cold call. He didn't spam LinkedIn inboxes. He didn't send weekly "just checking in" emails.
He built a presence. He cleaned up his profile so anyone who landed on it knew exactly what he did and who he helped. He posted once a week - not perfectly, but consistently. About AWS, life sciences, computational biology. The problems he solves, the industries he serves.
And he showed up in conversations. Comments. DMs. The quiet back-and-forth that never shows up in anyone's feed but plants seeds anyway. Six months of that. And then: "Hey, we're ready."
Why it worked
Most of your buyers are lurkers. They're watching silently. Not liking, commenting, but they're there. And they're remembering.
Your network's network matters. Scott's friend never engaged with his content. But he saw enough to know: "AWS + life sciences = Scott." When the moment came, Scott was the obvious choice.
Clarity beats creativity. Scott wasn't trying to go viral. He just kept saying the same few things: AWS.
Life sciences. Compliance. Computational biology. "Keep driving home those points. Then when someone hears that one keyword, they're like 'Oh, I know who does that.'"
The long game wins. Scott's deals usually take 12-18+ months to close. Most people give up after a few weeks of silence. Scott stayed visible through the wait. And when his prospect was ready, they already knew who to call - in just 6 months.
What Scott did has a name.
It's the same system I teach every client - it's the REALationship Growth Method.
And I'm breaking it down tomorrow.
It works whether you're in biotech sales or building a coaching business from scratch.
It's free, one hour, no pitch. If Scott's story sounds interesting you'll want to be in the room (there's a replay if you can't make it!)

Until next time, Natasha
P.S. My April cohort has 3 spots left. If you want what Scott has, a system, not a strategy of the week, reply and I'll send you the details.
